The Final Freedom Blog

Yes, this will be my last blog.

I started Freedom Academy with Dorothy during the COVID pandemic. I was appalled with how easily Americans gave up their civil liberties and was enthusiastic about reminding or teaching Americans about Freedom: What it is, where it comes from, the threats against it in modern America, and how to defend freedom in all its forms.

I now find myself in a wildly different place.

I published a book that was truly time sensitive, meant to be read at the date of publication. But some of it, especially Part I, embodies the lessons I believe each American needs to understand. If you have not yet read The Unraveling: The American Fabric Undone, I do urge you purchase it (either from Amazon – the cheapest – or from BookBaby.com – if you don’t want to support Amazon). Then read it – and then gift it to another American who needs to read it.

But anyway, here we are two to three years later, and the threats are still everywhere – even more of them – but not only do I believe that it would be more difficult to convince some Americans that the threats against their freedoms are MORE at risk today than during the last administration, but I am no longer sure there is anything we can do to defend against the loss of liberty.

Because the options left to us are too drastic for the typical American to even conceive.

I’m not talking about an armed revolution (I dispelled that option in The Unraveling) – but my actual solution (which I encouraged in The Unraveling) was to “Jump.” Jump outside the Narrative. And for that to work, at this point, would require entire communities (or even all of society) to Jump simultaneously.

Not only is there a very large portion of the population today who could never be convinced that such a Jump is necessary, but for the rest of us… it is just too inconvenient.

We can’t conceive of leaving our homes without our cell phones, which keep us connected through texting, emails, and social media apps (not to mention, we use GPS to help us determine our routes and to inform those we are meeting of our ETA), but our cellphones also entertain us and our children when we find ourselves with nothing to do for a moment during our everyday lives.

Many activities, events, and businesses require the use of QR code readers – or maybe we have a SMART wallet. We love the convenience of Air Drop and we stream our music through these supercomputers small enough to fit into our pockets.

We are integrating more and more elements of digital ID and inviting Artificial Intelligence into our lives, freely giving away our personal data and allowing our thoughts to be manipulated.

Not only can we no longer believe anything we see or hear, but critical thinking has left the building.

K-12 schools have been infiltrated by ideologies keen on destroying what’s left of the American way of life – just as the universities are hotbeds of terrorism ready to explode.

With the advent of General Artificial Intelligence predicted to come about this year, knowing the technology to read our minds (and to place memories inside our heads - or erase them) already exists, with the reliance and convenience of Amazon and Walmart, with moves toward digital ID and away from cash, and the reality that we no longer actually own anything, I have come to believe that a society-wide Jump outside the narrative is no longer possible.

And I have also come to believe that most Americans don’t even realize what liberty is, nor how to protect it. And even if they did, they may actually no longer wish to.

In addition, I believe that no matter where someone stands or finds themselves on the political spectrum, the most likely scenario is that Americans will end up not defending liberty, but INVITING tyranny into their lives.

All the bases are covered. And no, it is not about deporting foreign nationals or keeping biological men out of female spaces. It is about inviting martial law to protect us against rape and murder, assault and battery. It is (potentially) about deploying troops against the jihadis already within our borders.

But the threat isn’t just about military force over the population. It is about mind control.

On the left, they have convinced half of the population to redefine words and ideas – and to shame and guilt the others into joining them – and the left has already demonstrated their readiness to comply voluntarily with anything that can be framed as “the common good.”

Handing oneself over to the common good, however, necessitates giving up ALL individual liberties.

The left has also successfully used hate to motivate the masses to take up what is then deemed as the morally superior position – on any issue.

And the heroes on the right will use the backlash against such things to convince their followers that because their actions counter the evil of the left, they are always the “good guys.” This is not the case.

Those who want to eliminate waste, fraud, and abuse, may just accept the tools deemed necessary to prevent and root out corruption among politicians. The problem is...those same solutions can be used to spy on the common citizen - and control many areas of their lives.

In fact, I can see how “both sides” use their narratives to ensure behavior modification by all.

Americans on both the Left and the Right – whether liberals or progressives – whether conservatives or MAGA – are voluntarily handing over all the trouble of thinking and all the cares of living to another entity. (Alexis de Tocqueville was right after all.)

The Right has their own narrative that must be jumped away from. Please don’t simply agree with “the other side” because it appears it is in conflict with the irrefutable pursuit of control by the Left.

Not to mention the dangers of the Powers That Be controlling behavior through food supply, public schools, electric cars, solar energy, neurolink technology, and yes, robots.

So here we go. My last blog. My last plea. Jump. Jump as far as you can.

Don’t send your children to public school. Use cash. Get off social media. Grow your own food.

Don’t use Grok or ChatGPT or Gemini or Alexa or any of the other ones out there. (I finally did figure out how to turn off Copilot.) Don’t wear Meta Glasses or Google Glasses.

Don’t use Ring Cameras or SMART TVs or SMART technology in your homes.

Don’t use GPS. Leave your cell phone at home. (I haven’t figured out how to do this yet myself.)

Stop all subscriptions.

Buy local. Frequent independent restaurants. Support local arts and artisans, support live music, support local small businesses.

Make friends, join clubs, find shared values and purpose. (IRL, not online)

And in my last blog ever, I am going to make one final plea. Find Jesus. It is for Freedom’s sake that He set us Free.

Live according to the Spirit: Love, Joy, Peace, Patience, Kindness, Goodness, Faithfulness, Gentleness and Self-Control. (Against such things there is no law…at least not yet.)

Then…Live Free. Intentionally.

Because I am trying to take my own advice and will be stopping my domain and website subscriptions, Freedom Academy with Dorothy is now closed.

I have plenty left to say, but I don’t think anyone is listening – if anyone ever was.

I hope you have enjoyed the ride as much as I have.

Thank you for your support all these years.
